Lic. iur., Senior Legal Counsel

Peter is a registered attorney-at-law with the Zurich and the Swiss Bar. He has around 15 years of experience in litigation, investigations as well as employment law, his main focus being on whistleblowing matters in recent years. After his legal clerkship with the District Court of Horgen (Canton of Zurich), he practised with one of Switzerland’s top tier corporate law firms, providing legal advice and litigating employment matters as well as commercial disputes for large Swiss and international corporate clients. With the counsel and in-court experience gained as a practising attorney, Peter transitioned into an in-house counsel role with one of Switzerland’s largest banks. As a Litigation and Regulatory Lawyer in Zurich, he coordinated and supervised litigation matters and conducted complex internal investigations, including whistleblowing and cross-border investigations. When presented with the opportunity, Peter transferred within the bank to the United States where he conducted investigations into sales related misconduct within the wealth management division as well as complex whistleblowing investigations in various divisions. In his role as an internal investigator with the bank in the United States, he gained invaluable experience in the US legal and regulatory environment and was able to further broaden his knowledge and skills around investigations, in particular whistleblowing investigations. After two years, Peter was promoted into the role of the Head of Whistleblowing Matters for the Americas where he managed the whistleblowing portfolio for the region, which allowed him to further strengthen his subject matter expertise in this area. At ENQUIRE, Peter is focussing on providing guidance in whistleblowing matters and conducting whistleblowing as well as other types of investigations. Peter earned his law degrees from the University of Zurich (Lic. iur.) and from the University of Virginia (LL.M.). While enrolled at the University of Zurich, he also studied at the Universidad Pública de Navarra (UPNA) in Spain for one year
