Regulatory Template
Material changes
The Country Manual has been reviewed to ensure that the content of all documents remains accurate and up-to-date.
There have been some legislative changes in Saudi Arabia and these are reflected in the manual, but do not have a material effect on the answers. These changes are the following:
The Personal Data Protection Law (“PDPL”) is in effect and a set of Implementing Regulations came into force on 14 September 2023;
Consumer protection rules have been updated. The Finance Companies Consumer Protection Principles and Rules have replaced the Finance Companies Consumer Protection Principles;
Companies Law has been updated.
Non-material changes
The tax section has been reviewed and updated.
Behaviour Template
The answers in the BT have been aligned to those contained in the RT.
Definitions and Concepts
The document Definitions and Concepts now includes a Concordance Table. This Table is designed to help the users of the Country Manual Credits easily recognize existing or potential interactions between the rules of different types of credits.
