Dear Client,
We are pleased to announce the launch of our new category of alerts on:
Data Protection Alert Germany 1/2023 concerns a bank’s lack of transparency on regarding an automated Individual decision.
Data protection is becoming a key topic for all companies. Hence, we have decided to monitor decisions and best practices that may have an impact on the governance practices of financial institutions. While our objective is not to cover the entire international legislative landscape in this area, we deem appropriate to select relevant topics to raise awareness and highlight risks for our clients. Due to the increase in powers of data protection supervisory authorities, it is therefore essential to monitor the practices that could inspire the data protection authorities in applying the law.
Our first alert covers Germany and the case of a bank fined for lack of transparency on an automated individual decision.
We also take this opportunity to invite you to our first training course on data protection
“The data protection in the bank’s daily activities”.
This training will take place on July 4 in Geneva (Warwick Hotel) and will be conducted in French.
