Material changes

The Country Manual has been reviewed to ensure that the content of all the documents remains accurate and up to date. We can confirm that there have not been any relevant legal or regulatory changes in Luxembourg since the last update.

Non-material changes

Notably, the list of mandatory consumer protection provisions has been reviewed after consultation with our local counsel.

In the chapters on consumer credits and mortgage credits, sections providing for regulatory restrictions and conditions in the negotiation phase have been detailed for the sake of completeness. These developments in particular relate to pre-contractual obligations in the case of distance marketing of financial services and in the case of consumer credit. The amendments do not entail any material changes, i.e., the updated manual now shows in detail existing obligations that were before only listed as important mandatory consumer protection provisions.

The section on Tax has been updated and developed in collaboration with BRP Tax.
