Material changes
The rules on direct marketing have been explained more in detail and it has been added that Danish law now prescribes that it is considered misleading and therefore not permitted if editorial content is used in the media to promote the product where a trader has paid for such advertising, without this being clearly apparent from the content or from images or sound that can be clearly identified by the consumer.
More detail has been added on the duty of advice of the Bank, including rules on format and on termination of the contract.
The section on credit cards has been amended to include a summary of the most important consumer credit provisions.
The relevant provisions of the Executive Order on competence requirements for employees providing advice on certain investment products have been added to the Manual.
Non-material changes
Some comments and content have been streamlined and/or reworded in the Country Manual, without introducing substantive changes.
