The Country Manual has been reviewed to ensure that the content of all the documents remains accurate and up to date.
Material changes
The changes/modifications are as follows:
Generic marketing activities such as presenting the Company in general terms and providing macroeconomic analysis and financial research (without specific information on strategies, investment services and/or financial products) are now also permitted on an occasional basis onshore in Argentina (at target) for a limited number of prospects/clients.
Occasional visits or meetings in Argentina (at target) by representatives of a foreign (non-licensed) investment firm should be acceptable provided that (i) they were pre-arranged on a cross-border basis (e.g. via remote means of communication), (ii) are taking place on a one-to-one and occasional basis and (iii) are kept on a generic basis (i.e. without mentioning specific investment services and/or financial products).
Finally, the marketing of unregistered funds and structured products is now also permitted when done (indirectly) on a one-to-one and occasional basis with/via locally licensed entities.
